REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Oct. 23, 2014—Imorgon Medical, a developer of wholly integrated software solutions that empower diagnostic ultrasound to deliver the highest quality of patient care, announced the planned installation of the Imorgon Ultrasound Enhancement System™ in Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital System in Philadelphia.
The Imorgon System is an advanced solution that seamlessly integrates with enterprise Picture Archive Communication System (PACS) workstations, and the system’s harmonization engine provides vendor-neutral compatibility with all major ultrasound and dictation systems for streamlined workflow efficiency, greater diagnostic precision and accurate reporting.

With Imorgon, sonographers are able to perform exams more easily by utilizing the Sonographer QC tools. Specifically, ultrasound study exceptions, or patient and study information, can be easily corrected and the ability to add or edit annotations, make measurements, delete images and split or merge studies is quickly performed by the sonographer at the system. The Imorgon System’s integrated electronic reporting decreases errors associated with handwritten paper forms and manual report dictation systems. The auto-populated report templates with patient exam observations and findings eliminate redundant dictation, and the reports are ultimately more complete, accurate, and easy to interpret, resulting in better patient care.
Imorgon’s Ultrasound Enhancement System is based on the DICOM industry standard for transferring images and other medical information between computers, and on the HL7 communications standard for Hospital Information Systems (HIS), which reduces the potential for enterprise workflow disruptions and downtime. In addition, because the system is software driven it requires no hardware, which minimizes a hospital’s IT footprint.
